Tate comes from the Old English word Tata, and is the name of the some Britain's top art galleries including the Tate Britain and Tate Modern in London. Caradoc (Welsh Origin) Meaning "beloved". I think it's lovely and may well use it for my DS due in a few days time (if I can talk DH out of Hector)!
